Shimla – Narkanda – Manali – Rohatang Pass

Saturday 23rd September 2017

Dazzled by the white snow, stretching to infinity – the entire Himalayan range seemed like a paradise on snow. I asked myself, “Where else in the world can I feel closer to god?” The answer I murmured to myself, “Nowhere, it must be the place I am standing right now”. It was truly heaven on earth. The silence and the cold breeze. “God must be somewhere here, within the Himalayas,” I thought to myself.

Back home, sipping a cup of tea one early morning, I felt the effects of wanderlust taking over. In my mind, I was still up there on the mountains and also desperately wanted to be there physically. The land of beauty and the heaven it was.

Soon, I was there again. It was sometime in the same year, in 2012, standing in front of the magnificent sprawling landscapes, the first thing that came into my mind was “whatever I am beholding now, this moment, I would be sharing this with everyone who would travel with me.”

Thereafter, the wheels of my dreams were brought to life by wanderlust, and thus Wanderlust Wheels was born.

This year, Wanderlust Wheels is all set to explore the nature's many wonders with lots of added surprises awaiting you all.

This September, Wanderlust Wheels will roll its wheels to the enchanting hills of Shimla and Manali. These two places are best reached by road that showcases the charms of the Himalayan countryside at its best.

Therefore, whoever is interested, can join us on our exciting journey to the Himalayas.

Shimla – Narkanda – Manali – Rohatang Pass.

Journey -  6 Nights and 7 Days.

The former summer capital of the British in India, Shimla has been blessed with all the gifts that nature can bestow on a nature lover. It is one of the most popular hill stations in India, buzzing with people almost all round the year. The place is famous for being extremely scenic and a lot of it owes to the beauty of snow-capped peaks and lush green hills that surround the place. The enchanting hills make for an inviting sight for travellers at all times of the day, be it sunrise, sunset, or even when the weather is cloudy. The hills are dressed-up in various attires to offer a treat for the eyes of the beholder.

With steep forested hillsides spreading across all directions, Shimla still holds on to its colonial heritage with grand old buildings, including the old Christ Church. There’s a 12 km Ridge which is not only a marketplace but also the social hub of the city

At a height of 6,260 feet above sea level, Manali is one of the most popular awe-inspiring hill stations in this country.

The majestic hills, the woody forests and the quaint charm of Manali attract thousands of travellers from all parts of the world. After all, the beauty of River Beas flowing through the town is good enough to create a spellbinding landscape.

One of its main attractions is the Hidimba Devi Temple which sits in the middle of a nearby deciduous forest. Rohtang Pass, on the other hand, is a place where one can experience the breathtaking beauty of nature in one of its purest forms, for it is surrounded by the most beautiful snow covered mountain peaks.
